I should be studying for a Science test tomorrow, but what the hell, I'm due for a little break right about now. It comes to find that no matter what Culinary School you attend they find some way to make academic classes as easy as possible, like they don't expect you to know how to cook and the chemical make up on salt at the same time.(which is sodium chloride, for anyone that didn't know...).

I'm at a loss of what animal to make next, and I'd love to hear your advice so please vote in my poll and spread the word :). (Write in votes will also be counted in the comment section)

What animal should I make next?

Going Green

I'm on a roll I finished an elephant, owl, and a seal. Now I'm working on a "go green" project. I'm crocheting with plastic bags! I'm reading "No Impact Man" by
Colin Beavan, and well I'm so engrossed in it. It's a simple narrative book about one mans life to not just "go green" but to leave no carbon foot print on the world at all. I'm only 70 pages in and I want to go out and try to change the world. I wont bother you with the detail, but honestly, go to your local library and rent this book! Yes, the public library, so dust off that old library card. So far my plastic bag experiment is going according to plan so check back soon to hear more.

My sister came to visit today, which usually I wouldn't be excited about since we have absolutely nothing in common. I mean nothing, like honestly, not a thing, well except for the fact we come from the same mom!, but to tell you the truth, I've been very homesick. We took a trip to the mall, I got two free pairs of underwear from Victoria Secret and some chai tea leaves from Teavania (if you haven't heard about them Google them RIGHT NOW, they're amazing!) My sister on the other hand bought a mess of clothes, accessories and a bathing suit (in the middle of March in New England... I don't get it either). Then we ventured to Dave & Buster's, which was a first time experience for all three of us. The decor was just well, ugly, but the food was AMAZING! and the eat and play combo really only saves you a buck or two, but what the hell, we spent over an hour playing with $10 so I can't complain. We each got a shitty prize, but what do you expect. She left, I'm watching family guy, back to my old boring life.

Till next time,

Welcome

Seeing as this is my first blog, let me take a minute to introduce myself.

My name is Sarah, but you can call me Teslas, I've had the crafting bug ever since I can remember. Growing up I've learned it all, from bead working, to scrap booking, to wood working. I picked up crocheting as a way to stick with my diet, as a current culinary student I packed on a little more then the freshman 15 (if you catch my drift). Crocheting is a way to keep my distracted long enough not to keep sticking my hand in the back of chips.

Yep, I'm a twenty year old college student, and if that isn't difficult enough, I have little to no financial support from my family, living in my own apartment, and having a very restricted schedule making even a part time job nearly impossible. So this is not just a hobby for me. The investment that you make in my products for your home helps to provide for my family. I strive very hard to live debt-free. Even living a very financially conservative lifestyle, it's still difficult to make ends meet.

I have an amazing boyfriend who I met in college, I invited him over for Mac and Cheese one night, and we've been inseparable ever since. We moved to Orlando, FL in 2009 to work for Walt Disney World, (and Universal Studios, which is less important) and left our hearts there when we came back in 2011 to continue school.

I hope to be posting two to three times a week on topics involving upcoming crafts, projects, sales, giveaways and more. And on Fridays I will be featuring one of your blogs, fan groups or website to help promote your unique crafts so feel free to comment and message me often.

See you all soon.
